Nabweteme’s SWOSU Crowned Regular Season Champs in US

Uganda Crested Cranes forward Sandra Nabweteme and her team South West Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) have been crowned the 2016 Great American Conference regular-season champions.

The team thumped third placed Oklahoma Baptist 4-0 on Thursday night to amass an unassailable 51 points from twelve wins, pharm three draws and a single loss.

SWOSU will complete their regular season fixtures with an away assignment to Southern Nazarene university on Saturday in Bethany.

Nabweteme is currently second in the top scorers race with 19 goals from sixteen games she has featured in since joining the University at the beginning of the season.

Her team mate, here a Burkina Faso national, Alimata Rabo leads the charts with a whooping 23 goals.

The victory for SWOSU means they will host their playoffs games at their home in Weatherford starting Thursday, November 3rd.

They face second placed Ouachita Baptist, Harding and Southern Nazarene who are third and fourth respectively.
