Singer and politician Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s music and events promoter Andrew Mukasa alias Bajjo Events was finally released from prison on Thursday July 11.
Bajjo was granted a Shs4M cash bail by Buganda Road Court Magistrate Stella Amabirisi.
His release was met by lots of excitement from his friends, family and fans including a one Noreen Nabweteme, who came out a few weeks ago and accused singer Geosteady of fathering her child and abandoning her.
After undergoing a DNA test where it was ascertained that the ‘Tokendeza’ singer was not the kid’s biological father, Bajjo stepped in and offered her financial support.
He rented for Nabweteme a house and promised to provide her with capital to start up a business.
Moved by his kindness, Nabweteme has ensured that she did all that she could to be there for him during his legal troubles.
Speaking to journalists on Thursday after Bajjo’s release, the mother of one revealed that since she heard news of his arrest, she has been fasting and praying to God to help him regain his freedom.
“I am so happy he has been released. I’ve fasted for two weeks and been praying a lot for him since I heard about his arrest. I felt hurt that a person as kind and generous as him was subjected to this cruel treatment.”
Nabweteme also revealed that she is currently in a good place emotionally and her child too is doing well.
“I am doing well, I’m at peace with myself with exception that I haven’t yet started working though I’m optimistic I will.”
