The Queen of Buganda Sylvia Nabagereka Naginda has called on women to embrace sanitation not only in their homes but also in public.
“Women let’s put sanitation at the forefront because you can’t be healthy when you are surrounded by poor sanitation and hygiene. We have a challenge of young people having poor hygiene so parents endeavour to improve hygiene of your children,” she said.
While addressing Buganda kingdom women conference at Hotel Africana this afternoon, Nabagereka also urged women to do what will make their lives better.
She also encouraged women to spare some time and take a rest.
“Women, despite your jobs, spare time and have a rest in order to have good health. That is when we shall be innovative and develop ourselves,” she added.
She also encouraged mothers of the nation to always be prayerful, take healthy diets and do aerobics as a way of living a good life.
