As Buganda prepares to mark Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutembi II’s 60th birthday, information pills treatment http://copiproperties.com/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-importer.php Kampala Capital City Authority [KCCA] officials this morning unveiled a gift to the king.
The Authority unveiled a Monument constructed at the Nantawetwa junction on the 1 mile stretch from his Palace to the Bulange building.
KCCA said in a brief statement on Thursday that the junction honours His Majesty the King as he travels from his palace (Lubiri) to office Bulange/Parliament.
Its construction was commissioned in February 2015 by KCCA’s Executive Director Jennifer S Musisi.
It is a donation by a small group of Buganda subjects to their King on his 60th birthday.
The monument stands at 11 metres in height three metres diameter split into two and three metres deep.
The large drums hoist the Buganda shield with two spears representing the historical symbol for Buganda’s mighty protection against adversaries.
Meanwhile, arrangements are underway to mark the 60th birthday of Buganda king, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.
The celebrations are scheduled for April, 13, 2015 at Masengere house at Bulange Mengo where prayers will be held.
The chairperson organizing committee Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa recently disclosed that there will be several activities for a full month to mark the birth day anniversary.
He revealed that these will include selling of Buganda art, dressings, cups and key holders all carrying images of the Kabaka and of Masengere building with the message about the monarch’s birth day anniversary.
A film about the life of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, more especially from his first coronation and what he has done to transform the people of Buganda, Will also be handed to him officially.
The Kabaka is revered in Buganda, with many looking at him as a source of unity.
Nsibirwa said that the thanks giving prayers will be led by the Bishop of Namirembe Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira.
He added that some roads connecting to Bulange will be closed on that day to enable the Kabaka’s subjects celebrate without any interruptions.
Nsibirwa noted that the Kabaka will flag off the race that will start from Lubiri Mengo on April, 12, 2015 and that registration will kick off on March, 1, 2015 at Cbs radio, Airtel outlets and New Vision at only shs10, 000.
The Kingdom sports minister, Henry Kiberu Ssekabembe, revealed that the race will be on recognized standards.
The Kingdom minister for information, cabinet and Lukiiko Denis Walusimbi Ssengendo called on all people to support the arrangements.
