Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) needed extra efforts to secure maximum points against a resilient UPDF FC side in the game played at Startimes stadium on Monday.
A late brace from youngster Allan Okello was enough for KCCA FC to edge past the Army side and bridge gap in the title race.
KCCA FC Manager Mike Hillary Mutebi was happy with the performance of his team indicating they put up a brilliant display.
“ I’m happy for the performance we put up. We dominated play and controlled proceedings the way we always want. “ Mutebi indicated.
The gaffer says it is always important for the players to master the way he wants them to play.
“ It is important that we master our way. Playing good football, creating chances and dominating play like we did against UPDF FC. “ He added.
However, Mutebi is still concerned with the lack of effectiveness in the final third where on many occasions KCCA FC have failed to take away chances despite creating them in plenty.
“ We have scored the most goals in the league but still we have a concern on how effective we are in the final third. However, if we were not creating the chances I would be more concerned but for now we can look for ways on how to put away the chances.” Mutebi explained.
KCCA FC had gone six games in the league without scoring more than one goal prior to the 2-0 win against UPDF FC.
