Singer Rema Namakula won her maiden international award during the recently concluded Starqt Award held in South Africa organized by fashionista Stella Nankya.
The Starqt Awards are diverse society awards with fields of lifestyle, entertainment, unsung heroes, business and sports.
Rema won the award for Video of the Year for her song ‘Banyabo’.
The ‘Siri Muyembe’ vocalist attended the awarding ceremony in Johannesburg-South Africa at the Bedford View City Hall where she picked the gong herself.
Rema also performed at the awards leaving South Africans on their feet.
She has since taken to social media to show off the award and also thank her fans for loving her and always supporting by listening and watching her music.
Other Ugandans that were at the Awards were media personality Zahara Totto as a host and musician Ziza Bafana.
