The development was revealed by the Minister of Presidency, Esther Mbayo at Uganda Media Center during a briefing ahead of the Heroes Day celebrations slated for May 9th 2018.
“At this occasion, the country will be honored to host the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, H.E Abiy Ahmed Ali,” Ms. Mbayo said while delivering a prepared statement.
The Ethiopian PM is the only foreign dignitary, at the level of Head of State, scheduled to attend the event organized in Birembo sub-county, Kakumiro district.
Ms. Mbayo noted that Ethiopia played a big role in the struggle of independence for many African states and therefore the award is well deserved.
