President Yoweri Museveni will grace the grand opening of Pearl of Africa Hotel, Chimp corps report.
This was revealed by Mike Jameson, the General manager during a media tour around the hotel on Tuesday.
“We expect the president to officially open the hotel, and Ugandans can now visit and enjoy our services. The hotel industry in Uganda is an exciting and growing one. That is why we have decided to venture into Kampala,” Jameson remarked.
Previously refered to as Aya Hotel, Pearl of Africa has switched management to the South African based Sovereign Hotels, who also manage a string of hotels in Kenya.
Jameson during the tour promised that the hotel, once fully unveiled for public use, will not only bring high quality services but it will also increase on the rate of employment in the country.
He anticipates the hotel to employ about 500 Ugandans in various departments.
Basing on his 36 years of experience in managing hotels, the general manager said, Pearl of Africa will offer affordable services both at Local and International standards.
