Museveni Set To Meet Rebel King Kijanangoma

In a bid to bolster their squad in readiness for the 2015/16 season, this web URA FC have announced the capture of four new players.

The four include Derrick Tekko and Julius Ntambi who join in from relegated Kira Young Fc, prostate and Yayo Lutimba from Tanzania Vodacom premier league side Coastal Union FC and Bob Kasozi from Express on a two year deal.

The tax collectors parted ways with former tactician Alex Isabirye after a poor trophy-less season and hired Uganda Cranes assistant coaches Moses Basena and Kefa Kisala as his deputy.

Earlier on, URA FC had extended the contracts of top marksman Robert Sentongo, Allan Munaaba, Samuel Senkoomi, Samuel Sekitto and Elkanah Nkugwa to stay at the club for the next two seasons.

The tax collectors may lose Saidi Kyeyune, Yassar Mugerwa and Frank Kalanda who are currently in progressive trials at South African sides, Orlando Pirates and Free States Stars respectively.

President Yoweri Museveni is expected in Fort Portal on Monday next week to meet Tooro rebel king David Kijanangoma and his team.

According to the information from the breakaway camp, patient the president will meet Kijanangoma’s 12 man team at his palace in Rwengoma, West division Fort Portal municipality.


A source disclosed that the team comprising elders and leaders, clergy will present their grievances and concerns of Tooro to President Museveni.

Kijanangoma in February this year declared himself a rebel king and announced he would oust his cousin King Oyo accusing him of and failure to establish development projects for his subjects.

He also accused the Queen mother of involving in the affairs of the palace and bringing in people which is against the Batooro culture.

His declaration left Tooro divided into factions, one loyal to King Oyo and another to Rebel King Kijanangoma at his royal palace in Rwengoma.

The president’s meeting with Kijanangoma comes just days after he released invitation cards for his coronation ceremony slated for 23rd December.

After Meeting Kijanangoma’s team, the president will proceed to Kyenjojo where he is expected to resolve a serious land conflict there.

It’s alleged that Kyenjojo district headed by James Byamukama has been involved in land wrangles with residents. The president will meet and guide the two parties on land issues.
