President Yoweri Museveni has reassured all Ugandans that government will be at hand to ensure their security during the festive season.
Museveni in brief Christmas Message, also called on the citizens to play their part to ensure that the festivities are peaceful.
“As you embark on festivities, my call is that you do so responsibly,” he said.
“The police and sister security agencies are on alert, to ensure there is law and order. You should do your part as responsible citizen.”
The president, as has been the norm over the past few years will hold a national address on the new year’s eve, in which he will highlight what he calls “numerous strides,” made by his government this year.”
His address is expected to set the stage for 2020, a year of electioneering that is predicted in numerous measures to be intense.
