Uganda Cranes defender Murushid Jjuuko has joined Uganda Premier League outfit Express Football Club, afew weeks after being cleared by FIFA.
Jjuuko joins the Red Eagles on a one year contract and has stated that Express FC’s rich history and current progress lured him to the Wankulukuku based side.
“Firstly i want to appreciate the CEO (Isaac Mwesigwa) and the head coach (Wasswa Bbosa) for making this happen, am happy to be here. Express is a big club and it’s current progress speaks for it’self and am sure we going to win silverware this season,” he told the club website.
He has been club-less since partying ways with Moroccan based club Wydad Casablanca and brings a lot of experience having also featured for Tanzanian giants Simba Sports Club.
Express tactician Wasswa Bbosa believes the capture of an experienced player in Jjuuko is spot on and his discipline will help the youngsters become better.
“We’re glad to have Murushid on the team, he’s experience speaks for it’self without a doubt, his discipline will help the youngsters in the team to become better,” Bossa said.
Murushid Juuko becomes the 16th signing for the six time league champions ahead of the new season earmarked for 20th November, 2020.
Other signings include Abel Etrude, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Enock Walusimbi, Desmond Kaneene, Dennis Mbuya, among others.
