• Vipers SC 2-1 Kitara
Second half substitutes, Paul Mucureezi and Dan Sserunkuma were both on target as Vipers Sports Club rallied to edge Kitara 2-1 at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Wednesday.
Talisman Brian Mayanja had put the Uganda Premier League debutants in the lead though his goal later turned into a mere consolation.

Ten minutes into the restart, Mayanja put Kitara in the driving seat when he combined well with Peter Lomoro to slot home past Burundian goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora.
As Vipers’ pressure mounted, another substitute in Dennis Mwemezi who had replaced Ibrahim Orit, laid a swift cross into the box that met Mucureezi in the area for the former Mbarara City forward to head over Kitara’s custodian for an equalizer after 82 minutes.
In the 84th minute, Sserunkuma won it late for the Vemoms when he tapped home a Shaban Muhammad assist.
