Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) has secured a new sponsorship from Telecommunication giants, MTN.
The 3 year deal worth Shs1.3 billion was officially confirmed on Wednesday morning in a function held at the MTN headquarters in Kampala.
MTN Chief Executive Officer Wim Vanhelleputte indicated that they are happy partnering with a great and successful club like KCCA FC.
“Today is a great day for MTN and KCCA FC because we have sealed a big partnership. We are proud to associate with such a successful club and we believe the marriage will benefit us mutually,” he said.
“We strongly believe in leadership and winning and we are confident that we made a choice,” the CEO added.
The partnership comes in both shirt and club sponsorship with Shs430m remunerated to the club every year.
Some of the money will be projected towards constructing the KCCA FC stadium with the initial construction process expected to begin soon.
KCCA Executive Director, Jennifer Musisi Ssemakula who also attended the function for the continued support towards the Authority and promised value for money.
“We are privileged as KCCA FC to partner with MTN. They have been with us helping us in schools and now they are joining our club, “she said.
“As a club, we promise to offer value for money and we believe the partnership will benefit both of us,” Musisi added.
MTN become the fourth sponsor to join KCCA FC with StarTimes, Prime Media and Britam Insurance already on board.
