Morocco 4-0 Nigeria
Morocco, with ease, managed to overcome the Nigerian Super Eagles to win the 2018 CHAN tournament on home soil.
Morocco recorded a routine 4-0 victory in a game played at Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca, becoming the first host to win the this tourney.
A brace from Zakaria Hadraf and a goal each from El Kaabi and El Karti were enough to grant the tournament favourites their first title.
The Super Eagles, who had eliminated Sudan on the Semis, finished the game with a man down as 18 year old Moses Eneji received marching orders from Referee Bakary Gassama with a second booking.
Sudan took bronze after edging Libya 4-2 in the penalty shoot-out thriller played in Marrakech on Saturday.
Morocco’s Ayoub El kaabi finished as the topscorer with a record nine (9) goals.
Uganda, who picked just one point courtesy of a goalless draw with Ivory Coast, finished third in Group B, below Zambia and Namibia.
The next African Championship tourney will be hosted by Ethiopia in 2020.
