The struggles at Uganda Premier League outfit Nyamityobora FC continue to pile up every other passing day. And this has been the case since the team won promotion to the top tier league.
With the team struggling to pick results and currently languishing in the drop zone, more players have decided to go Absent Without Official Leave(AWOL).
Reports indicate about four players have disappeared from the Abanyakare camp just ahead of their league game against Paidha Black Angels on Thursday.
A source within the camp who preferred his name to be withheld intimated this this website that five more players have left the team.
The five include defender Ibrahim Pengere, goalkeeper Saddam Ogwang, Martin Arinaitwe and Benjamin Mpiirwe
The aforementioned join a long list of players that have left the team. Some of these include John Wesley Kisaakye, Franco Oringa, Patrick Gonahasa, Ibrahim Massa, David Kiiza and Henry Wamala among others.
Efforts to reach Club President Eng. Ben Misagga were futile by the time of publication of this story but he took to his Twitter Account to indicate there are some people behind the leaving of players pointing out former club chairman Emmanuel Yaramba.
“Am still on my festive season holidays but apart from wolokoso from you fake guys, the FA through that boy called Emma the former chairman are misleading the boys, FA and Mbarara FC are using you guys of the press to bring confusion. Fake humans Fake Press.” He noted.
Nyamityobora FC under coach Asaph Mwebaze are second from bottom with just seven points in 13 games.
