The Ministry of Health has Monday confirmed one new COVID-19 case bringing the total number of cases in the country to 122.
The case was confirmed from 2,296 samples of truck drivers.
“Today 11 May 2020, 1 new COVID-19 case confirmed from 2,296 samples of truck drivers,” the Ministry of Health announced on Monday night.
The new case is a Ugandan truck driver who arrived from Juba via Elegu.
South Sudan has so far registered 156 cases of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, all 558 samples from the community tested negative for COVID-19.
A total of 2,854 samples were tested for COVID-19 at Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI) on Monday.
Currently, Uganda has 122 COVID-19 cases, 55 recoveries and no fatalities.
