Uganda Cranes forward Farouk Miya was on the score sheet for his new club NHK Gorica in the Croatia top flight league.
However, his goal, the first in the league for him was not enough to guide Gorica FC to victory against Inter Zapresic.
Despite leading the game on two occasions, Gorica FC eventually lost the game by conceding a stoppage time goal.
Iyayi Believe Atiemwen opened the scores firing Gorica into an early lead just five minutes after kickoff. But with three minutes to the mandatory break, the visitors levelled matters through Komnen Andric.
Miya scored two minutes into the second half to help Gorica FC regain their lead and went on to maintain the lead until the final minutes.
Karlo Muhar scored in the 83rd minute while Ivan Mamut grabbed the winner in the 3rd minute of added time.
The loss meant, Gorica FC are yet to win from the 3 games they have played this season, losing two and drawing in the other.
The team is currently 8th on the ten team log with one point while victory pushed Inter Zapresic to 5th place on 3 points.
Miya joined the Croatian outfit at the start of this season from Belgian side Standard Liege.
