Ugandan forward Farouk Miya put up a sublime performance to help his team Sebail FK secure a hard fought 2-1 victory in the Azerbaijan Premier League on Sunday.
After going a spell of seven games without victory, Sebail FC made efforts to edge Samqayit FK at the Kapital Bank Arena.
Miya opened the scores in the 30th minute and set up teammate Aqsin Quibanli nine minutes later as the Baku based side held a comfortable 2-0 lead at halftime.
Despite efforts from the home side in the second half Sebail FK held on to eventually win 2-1 registering their first win in seven games.
Amil Yunanov pulled one back for Samqayit midway through the second half.
This was the second goal for Miya since joining the Azerbaijan club on loan from Belgian outfit Standard Liege in February.
Miya who was making his tenth appearance opened his goal account at the club last weekend in a one all draw against Kapaz FK.
Sebail FK is second from bottom on the table with 23 points. The league is contested by only eight teams.
