Mixed Reactions as Bobi Wine Evacuates Family to US Ahead of Election

National Unity Platform (NUP) Robert Kyagulanyi Bobi Wine has reportedly flown his young children out of the country ahead of the anticipated instability in next week’s general elections.

The children were yesterday pictured at Entebbe International Airport departing to the United States.

The travel documents which leaked on social media showed that these were to fly to the State of Texas via Doha on a Qatar Airways flight.

The kids were reportedly traveling with their maternal aunt, one Jolly Asiimwe to the US.

The news quickly kicked up a storm with some of Bobi Wine’s critiques rushing to slam him hastening to get his family members out of danger without caring the families of his supporters.

Musician Moses Sali aka Bebe Cool pointed out the timing of the development as some of Bobi Wine’s closest colleagues remained in prison.

Bebe Cool’s tweet however, appeared to have been deleted following harsh criticism.

Some of Bobi Wine’s supporters noted that he was right to evacuated his family members because he has had a target on his back from the state for months.

Others noted that President Yoweri Museveni was compelled to move his family to Europe during the 5-year bush war that brought his government to power.

The National Unity Platform had not yet responded to our requested for comments on the matter.
