Unlike most beauty pageants that run for one year and later collapse for unknown reasons, Miss Tourism beauty pageant is returning this year with yet a bigger concept and vision.
Speaking at the press launch at Pearl of Africa Hotel recently, Marianne Naava, the patron of the pageant said that the event had a greater chance of advertising the country across the globe through the beauty queens.
“I therefore ask all government stakeholders to be part of this event as we transform Uganda through tourism,” she said.
Presiding on the same event, Allan Kanyike, the head of operations Miss Tourism assured journalists that this year’s event wouldn’t be compared to the previous editions for it will surpass them all.
Speaking at the same event, State Minister for Tourism, Kiwanda Godfrey, asked Ugandans to always visit their country before going abroad adding that tourism is one of the biggest assets we have.
