Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) has confirmed the departure of intelligent midfielder Nicholas Kasozi.
Kasozi whose contract had a year running has hence signed for another Uganda Premier League club Kyetume FC.
The development was on Thursday morning confirmed by the club’s Acting CEP Michael Kirunga via KCCA FC official website.
“KCCA FC and Kyetume FC have agreed terms for the transfer of midfielder Kasozi Nicholas. As a club, we are thankful for the services of Kasozi during the two years he has spent at KCCA FC. We wish him the best at his new club and in the future,” Kirunga noted.
Kasozi joined KCCA in 2018 penning a three-year deal and leaves the Kasassiro Boys with a year left on his contract.
He joined KCCA from 16-time UPL Champions SC Villa having previously played for Synergy FC in the FUFA big League.
Earlier last season, Kasozi fell out with gaffer Mike Hillary Mutebi and went AWOL from the club, however, this website established that all that resulted from the player demanding his unsettled arrears.
While at KCCA FC, he has managed to win two Super Cup titles, StarTimes Uganda Premier League and the CECAFA Kagame Cup.
He joins Nigerian striker John Odumegwu, Eric Ssenjobe, Jackson Nunda, Muzamir Mutyaba, Mustafa Kizza, Jamil Malyamungu, Mike Mutyaba (retired) who have all left the Lugogo side during this window.
At Kyetume, Kasozi joins other fresh faces in Henry Orom, Mustafa Mujuzi, Rashid Muhammad, Gadaffi Gadinho, and Ezra Bida among others.
