Measles Immunization: Health Ministry Warns of Conmen

Ministry of Health has come out to warn the Public against dealing with people who are posing as job recruiters from the Ministry, for the upcoming mass Measles-Rubella immunization campaign.

A fake social media page was created by unknown people this week, calling on Ugandans to apply for these ‘positions’ in the campaign.

“Ministry of Health does not charge any fee from any individual seeking to work with the Government and continues to recruit professionals on a needs basis, under clearly stipulated channels for job applications and recruitment,’’ the ministry said in a statement.

According to Mr. Emmanuel Ainebyoona, the Senior Communication Officer at the Ministry, the recruitment for Supervisors, and Trainers for the National Measles and Rubella campaign have already been completed.

Mr. Ainebyoona adds that these recruits have already been deployed to their work stations adding that no one should come and dupe the public that they are recruiting people for these jobs again.

Many youths had already complained to the Ministry about the social media account that was soliciting for Money from .

The mass Rubella immunization will start on 16 October and run up to the 20th  targeting children between 9 months to 15 years.
