Uganda Cranes head coach Jonathan McKinstry has named the final 25-man squad of players that will depart for Cameroon on Monday afternoon ahead of the pre-CHAN Tournament.
The squad of three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders and eight strikers will leave Entebbe International Airport at 3pm for the test event slated for 1st to 7th January 2021.
The pre-test event will put the four participating Nations (Uganda, Zambia, Niger and Cameroon) in good shape before the final tournament scheduled for 16th January to 7th February 2021.
The notable change in the traveling contingent comes in the form of experienced Coach Sadiq Wassa who replaces Fred Kajoba as the goalkeepers’ Coach.
Kajoba was relieved of his duties last week after violating camp protocols after going out of the camp (Paradise Hotel-Kisaasi) for Christmas prayers without authority.
KCCA Football Club players aren’t part of the squad but will later join after taking playing their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round two return leg against AS Kigali next month.
