Mbarara Woman Dumps 5 Month Baby in Pit Latrine

Masaka Deputy RDC Joseph Sekasamba yesterday survived a road accident on Ntare road in Mbarara Municipality.

The RDC Chimpreports understands, ask was on his way to arrest some assailants who allegedly stole construction equipment from a Chinese company in Buhweju district.

It is said however, search that before jumping onto the operation, unhealthy the RDC was highly intoxicated and that he told his driver that he wanted to drive himself.

Police says that the accident happened at around 3AM in the morning when the RDC’s Double Cabin Registration number UG 1938C skidded off the road at Ntare.

At Mbarara Police Station, the RDC refused to speak to the press about the incident, saying the he was not in the right state of mind.

He then rushed to Mbarara Referral Hospital where he was treated with minor injuries, before he proceeded to Ntungamo district for President Museveni’s campaign rally.

The region’s head of traffic Patrick Mungasa said that the driver of the RDC only known as Pascal is being hunted to explain the cause of the accident.

The RDC’s vehicle was briefly impounded at Mbarara Police but was later taken for repairs.


Mr Sekasamba has not been short of scandals in the recent past. In June last year, he was found lying unconscious in a lodge in Mbarara town, with deep cuts on his head.
Police in Mbarara are holding a 19 year mother who reportedly dumped her own baby girl into a pit latrine.

Immaculate Ninsima a resident of Nyakambu, this site in Sheema district was arrested yesterday after she tried to kill the baby that was abandoned by its father.

Ninsiima the baby was fathered by one Buruhani Bazire her ex husband before she married Amos Byaruhanga in Nyamitanga Mbarara.

Residents said the two had been fighting over the baby and that the husband demanded that she takes the baby to its father.

Ninsiima told police that her husband put her under pressure from the time the child was born.

Yesterday, visit this residents were startled to hear the child crying from inside a pit latrine. Luckily they managed to get police in time to rescue it and have the mother arrested.

The baby was taken to Mbarara hospital where she is receiving medical care.

Mbarara OC CID Taban Chiriga was stressed by the incident; “This baby has no crime and it’s not her mistake that she was born, sickness ” he said.

He said that Immaculate would be taken to court and charged with attempted murder.

The case is registered at police under SD/74/06/01/2016.
