Mbarara City Football Club on Monday reported without a head coach, for training ahead of several preseason activities including Pilsner 8 and pre-season friendlies.
The team lost its head coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi and goalkeeping coach Yusuf Senyonjo at the end of last season, who joined Odumparaka Football club.

Speaking about the fate of the team, the club president Hon. Mwine Mpaka asked fans to remain calm saying everything is still under control.
He says a number of coaches are currently being approached to take up the vacancy.
“We are hunting for a well experienced coach and we shall unveil him when time comes,” Mpaka said.
Meanwhile, the club has since signed assistant coach Brian Senyondo, goal keeping coach Jamil Damba while the former assistant coach Kasule Baker was elevated to the Club’s Technical Director.
Mbarara City FC joined the top tier league in the 2017/2018 season and last season they finished 5th in the Startimes Uganda Premier league.
The club spokesman Mr. Osborn Mushabe says players that reported for training today were all in good shape butt noted that a lot needs to be done in preparations of Pilsner 8 that starts on 24th July 2019.
