Mbarara: Bishop Stuart University Student Raped

Police in Mbarara are holding a 28 year old man who allegedly raped a Bishop Stuart University student.

Hussein Sekyanziwa, ask and a resident of Kijungu Kakoba Mbarara is detained at Mbarara police station after raping Harriet Ainembabazi days before her graduation.

Juliet was found by residents lying in a farm in Kakika division, who called in police that rushed her to Mbarara referral hospital.

Harriet was unable to make it to the graduation function at the Bishop Stuart University, which took place last Friday.

Hussein denied the rape charges but admitted beating up Harriet who he says was his ex girlfriend.

Hussein said he assaulted her because she stole and sold his car in 2014 before they separated.


Mbarara DPC Jaffar Magyezi said the girl is still being treated and that Hussein will be taken to court and charged with rape and robbery.
