Musician Maurice Kirya, on Friday confirmed to his fans that he can fill any venue as he pulled crowds to one of the biggest halls in the City, Victoria Hall-Kampala Serena Hotel.
Two years since he last held a show, the soul singer decided to surprise his fans again and held his Club Beer sponsored ‘Kirya live 2018’ much to the excitement of his fans, especially the babes.
With gates opened at exactly 8:30pm, partiers; majority of whom were ladies from all walks of life were seen flocking the Victoria Hall.
The show was kick started by performances from Kirya’s four selected singers; Shifah Musisi, Afrie, JC Muyonyo and Nico who kept revelers entertained as they waited for the main man himself.
Finally Maurice Kirya hit stage at around 9:30pm and straight away kicked started his performance with ‘Kankuwe’ followed by ‘Nze Ani’, ‘Never been loved’, ‘Mwooyo’, ‘Horses in the sky’ and many more as the ladies sang along and cheered.
Kirya made a stunning show, with an intimate sit-down set with his band; fans were treated to what is arguably of his best live performances ever.
“Kirya is really a king when it comes to live music, he put his best performance even when I didn’t really know what to expect from him, there will never be another Maurice Kirya, I saw a king live and my favorite has to be the Kirya live 2018 concert at Serena”, said one of his excited female fans.
There are no words that can truly give justice to Kirya’s performance. The drummers, band, instruments were all amazing.
He dictated the temple of his crowd as they watched him perform and couldn’t help but to sing and dance to his slow tunes.
Never will there ever be a performer like Maurice Kirya; rarely do we see a singer who can hold the entire crowd in his palm like he did last evening!
The melody was so beautiful, the instrument, the guitars, the drums, the piano, were all great.
His performance climaxed at exactly 11:15pm but it was evident that his fans were left yearning for more.
