Matia Lule: The Team is in Good Shape

Uganda Hippos (U20 team) finally set foot in Zambia on Monday ahead of the U20 COSAFA tournament.

The Hippos who will play at the tournament as a guest team had a light training session upon arrival in Kitwe and head coach Matia Lule believes his team is ready to compete.

“We arrived safely here in Zambia and the mood in the camp is good and everyone is ready for the tournament,” he said.

“We have had a light training session in Kitwe and thank God no injury concerns so far. Therefore everything is moving on the right course,” added the coach.

Uganda is in group A alongside hosts Zambia, Malawi and Swaziland.

The Hippos kick start the campaign against pre-tournament favorites and hosts Zambia in a highly anticipated game.

The team will be captained by KCCA FC striker Mohammad Shaban while Julius Poloto, another KCCA FC player will be his deputy.
