Masaza Cup: Emuron Retains Head Coach Role at Butambala

With the 2020 Airtel Masaza Cup destined for June, Butambala Ssaza team has confirmed its head coach and technical team that will guide them to their ambitions.

Recoba Emuron has been retained as the head Coach for this year’s Championship. The gaffer impressed the management following the team’s fair performance last year.

Butambala exited on the quarter-finals in the previous Championship facing eliminated at the hands of  2016 champions Buddu.

Recoba, who was confirmed by the sieving Committee headed Sulaiman Magala has previously coached at Bulo Red Stars, Greater Masaka and Bulo Parents School.

The management will however, name the full backroom staff after the pandemic Coronavirus crosses over, an outbreak that halted every sports discipline in the world.

Magala has also appointed a five man committee for this forthcoming edition of the Masaza Cup tournament.

Kiyingi Bbosa has been named as the committee Chairman and will be assisted by Najib Kivumbi.

Professor Badru Kateregga is the patron as Robert Kiyimba and Isa Kimbugwe serve as the team manager and media officer respectively.


In the previous edition, Butambala featured in the Muganzirwazza group alongside Busujju, Kabula and Kyaggwe.
