Masaza Cup: Bulemeezi Piles More Misery On Two-time Winners Ssingo

• Bulemeezi 4-0 Ssingo

Masaza Cup defending champions Bulemeezi condemned two-time winners Ssingo to their second defeat of the season (4-0) during game two of the Butikkiro group on Thursday at FUFA Technical Center.

Goals from Gabriel Elagu, Akram Muzanyi, Sulaiman Ssesazi and a late goal from super substitute Bernaldo Kateregga guided Bulemeezi to their first win of the 16th edition at Njeru.

Gabriel Elagu opened the goal fest with just four minutes into the game off a fine tap in past helpless goalkeeper Joseph Ssempijja.

After 35 minutes, Muzanyi got the second goal for Bulemeezi (his first for the season) with a powerful header off Thomas Kakaire’s well delivered corner kick before Kayondo’s would-be 3rd goal for Bulemeezi was disallowed for an off-side call.

With two minutes to the top of the hour, Ssesazi scored from a penalty kick following a foul on Muzanyi in the area and later substitute Kateregga who replaced Kakaire put an icing on the cake in the added time.

Bulemeezi now tops the group with four points from three games tied with Mawogola and Butambala but the former has a superior goal difference.

Elsewhere, Buluuli played to a goalless draw with Mawogola as both teams shared spoils. Buluuli now has two points while Ssingo has one point.
