The burial arrangement for the former Environment Minister, Maria Mutagamba agreed between the family and government has been released.
The departed leader who was also former Member of Parliament representing the women of Rakai district, will be accorded state burial fully facilitated by the Executive.
It should be noted that Parliament only takes care of the burial of sitting MPs.
According to the tentative programme, today Monday 26th June 2017 the body of Mutagamba will be taken to Lubaga Cathedral for a mass at 10am.
After the church service, the body will be taken to her Kampala home in Nakasozi, Buddo near Nabingo for viewing.
Another mass led by Fr. Expedito Magembe is programmed to take place at home at 5pm and later in the night vigil.
On Tuesday 27th June 2017 the body will lay in State at Parliament from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
At 2:00pm the body shall enter plenary for MPs to pay their last respects to the departed colleague.
Customarily, the Prime Minister will move the motion to be seconded by the Leader of Opposition in Parliament.
After Parliament business at 5:00pm the body heads to her ancestral home in Gamba Village, Kakuuto County, Rakai District.
There will also be a night vigilthere and on Wednesday 28th June 2017 she will be laid to rest.
The former Minister died Saturday last week at Case clinic Kampala.
