Major League Soccer Club Montreal Impact has joined the race for KCCA Football Club and Uganda Cranes left back Kizza Mustafa.
According to reliable sources, the Thierry Henry coached side has been closely monitoring the roving left back and is willing to table a bid worth USD 180,000.
The development comes at a time when Mustafa has no interest in renewing his contract with the 13-time Uganda Premier League winners despite KCCA tabling several offers.
Previously, Morrocan side Hassania Agadir and Czech Republic third tier club MFV Vyskov were in pursuit to land the hot cake but the deals failed to materialise after KCCA rejected the tabled transfer fee.
Kizza also held trials with Spanish La Liga side Real Valladolid as well as Swiss side Lausanne but both clubs failed to agree with the player’s parent club.
In case this deal goes through, Kizza who was also linked to Vipers SC will be the second Ugandan player to turn out for the Montreal Impact after Mike Azira.
