Liquid Silk Employees Charged Over Leaked Kabushenga Video

Two people have been charged in connection to the leaked video of Vision Group CEO Robert Kabushenga and city Lawyer David Mpanga.

The CCTV video in question shows Kabushenga taking a seat in the exclusive area  of Liquid Silk, Bugolobi before being joined by prominent lawyer Mpanga.

Charles Mujjabi, from the marketing department of the plush hangout and Simon Kazooba from the IT department were arrested early this week for allegedly leaking the video.

The duo was detained at Jinja Road Police Station on Ref. Number SD 103/17/07/2017  until today (Wednesday July 19) when they were produced in Court.

Speaking on the matter, Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Emilian Kayima said: “Yes I can confirm, we arrested them.”

“We took them to Court today,” he added.

The duo was produced before Her Worship Christine Nantegge at Nakawa Court on charges of Cyber Harassment.

While at Court, Charles Mujjabi pleaded guilty of leaking the video.

Simon Kazooba on the other hand pleaded innocent even though he was the key suspect.

The two, according to sources, connived with an unidentified businessman in Kampala to extract the footage from the Liquid Silk surveillance system.

The video shows photographs of Kabushenga with Sudhir at Vision Group’s Pakasa forums where the businessman gave inspirational speeches.

It also carries screen shots of New Vision articles about Crane Bank and Sudhir.
