Aspiring Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) party candidate, website like this http://clicknbuy.tk/wp-includes/class-wp-http-proxy.php David Pulkol has rubbished the party road map that was yesterday Wednesday released by the President Dr. Olara Otunu at the party headquarters in Kampala.
In a media interview at Grand Imperial Hotel in Kampala, approved http://csautomation.net/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/api/class-wc-rest-orders-controller.php Pulkol stated that the new road map has got four problems which include coming out too late and outside Otunnu’s mandate.
“Otunu’s term in office expired back on March 13th 2015 so he no longer has the constitutional power to release the roadmap to party activities; even under the Political Parties Organization Act, http://cineaverde.com/wp-includes/class-wp-http-streams.php no executive committee of any political party should exceed five years in office,” Pulkol observed.
But also, Pulkol added, the matter is currently in court were members are waiting for the judgment against Otunnu’s long stay in office together with his executive committee. The case is up for hearing on April 20.
He added that the passing of the road map was not done in good faith given the fact that it is pushing the entire process up to June not giving party members enough time to prepare for the elections.
“When will members do fundraising, the manifesto, party primaries, getting candidates and communications? He is not allowing the party ample time, yet we must join the Electoral commission roadmap.”
“Otunnu is just imprisoning and tying the party; he should even stop lying around that party activities were all along frozen by the court injunction that was secured by the [Jimmy] Akena faction.”
Pulkol revealed that the injunction never barred party activities but rather stopped Otunu from carrying on any party business without first being sanctioned by the party’s National Council and Delegates Committee.
“We know Otunu’s selfish interests of joining the Interparty Coalition for 2016 as the UPC party president which is set be formed by June and that is why he is stretching the party road map to that far.”
According to the roadmap that was issued by Dr. Otunu, the party will from 10th to 17th April receive applications from all aspiring presidential candidates and will thereafter convene its Delegates Conference (DC) from June 10th to 11th June to come up with the new party leadership.
