Singer Leila Kayondo lost her two tight friends who she considered sisters in the boat tragedy on Lake Victoria on Saturday November 24.
Leila’s two sisters; Peace and Sheila were among the over 100 partiers aboard the boat that capsized.
The two girls were among the 32 people whose bodies were retrieved from the lake following the capsizing of the boat that was travelling from KK Beach Ggaba to Mutima Beach in Mukono for a boat cruise party.
The singer has since taken to social media to grieve her loved ones, questioning how she is supposed to deal with this tragic loss.
“Tell me!!! How am I supposed to deal with this::my 2 sisters are gone.RIP Shyllah RIP Peace. God hold me”. Leila posted on her Instagram page.
The death toll from the boat accident keeps rising as all the found bodies have been taken to Mulago Mortuary.
The boat wreckage is set to be lifted to see if other bodies were trapped under it.
There are also some reports saying that the number of people who were onboard the boat could have been exaggerated since the search team have failed to get more bodies despite an extensive search. Unconfirmed reports had earlier put the number of people to over 120.
