Leila Kayondo Finally Talks About SK Mbuga, Motherhood

Ever since she split from city businessman SK Mbuga real name Suleiman Kabangali Mbuga about three years back, Leila Kayondo remained tight lipped about the relationship.

The singer made headlines when she was still dating the pencil thin loaded dude thanks to her hard partying lifestyle.

However, SK Mbuga dumped Leila after she refused to give up her lifestyle and settle with him to start a family.

It was after this that Mbuga hooked Angella Vivienne Birungi and later married her in a posh wedding ceremony.

Fast forward to November 2018, Leila has finally opened up about her ex-lover saying she misses him.

During an interview, Leila says she has no idea whether Mbuga is out of jail or not claiming she has not been in touch with him since the breakup.

Leila however reveals that she misses Mbuga and prays every day that his troubles end as she would love to hug him when he returns to Uganda.

It should be noted that Mbuga was arrested in Dubai and jailed at Awir Central Jail without trial in January over allegations of committing fraud of over 53 million Swedish krona (about Shs23bn).

Leila also talked about how excited she is about motherhood.

Although she is not pregnant yet, the ‘Awo’ singer says that as a woman, it is bound to happen and she can’t wait to become a mother.

After being dumped by Mbuga who was bankrolling her singing career, Leila signed with Nigerian label Striker Entertainment that also manages rapper Big Tril.

They flew her to Nigeria where she spent some time recording music with some of the West African country’s stars including Harry Songs.

Word is that she has since parted ways with Striker Entertainment over undisclosed reasons.
