Midfielder Lawrence Bukenya has officially joined Uganda Premier League side Wakiso Giants Football Club from KCCA FC on a permanent deal.
Bukenya joins Wakiso Giants on a three-year contract deal that will keep him at the Wakiso based club until 2022/2023 season end.
He spent the whole of 2019/2020 season on loan from KCCA FC and is now among the lost list of departures from the Lugogo.
While making his debut for the Purple Sharks last campaign, he featured in over 25 games in all competitions and memorably scored in their 5-0 win over MYDA FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
“I enjoyed my time here last season and am glad the move has been made permanent. I feel at home here and want to achieve a lot with this wonderful club at the moment,” Bukenya told the club Website.
He added, “I thank KCCA for the time I spent there and wish them all the best.”
Bukenya is a two time league winner with KCCA, winning as many Uganda Cups and was notably named the MVP of the Uganda Cup in 2017.
He joins Tom Masiko, Pius Kaggwa, Edward Satro and Ibrahim Owen Kasule as other players that have joined the big spenders in this summer.
