Lady Doves Capture Tanzanian Midfielder

FUFA Women Super League side and Masindi based Lady Doves Football Club has confirmed signing Tanzanian midfielder Aziz Zuena Tembeni on a two-year contract.

The development was confirmed on Tuesday evening in a written statement released by the club.

“Lady Doves FC is delighted to announce the signing of Aziz Zuena Tembeni a Tanzanian National who has been plying her trade in Kenyan Women Premier league side, Thika Queens FC,” read the club statement.

In a related development, the club has also acquired the services of skillful defender Nabilah Nakitto from Kampala Queens FC who joined on a three year contract deal.

Both Nakitto and Zuena Tembeni join another duo of Nuluh Nakyanzi and Juliet Neguwon who successfully completed their loan spells with Asubo Gafford Ladies and Bunyaruguru Girls respectively.

The club is confident that the arrival of these vibrant and experienced players will tilt the competitive landscape of FWSL when the 2020/21 football season finally gets underway.

Despite the latest acquisitions, Lady Doves is yet to announce the next coach who will replace John Ongodia. However, Uganda Martyrs University’s Rogers Nkugwa is tipped to land fill the vacant role.
