Kyegegwa: Police Recover Stolen Riffle, Motorcycle

Police in Kyegegwa district have recovered a stolen motorcycle registration number UFD 954L and a rifle with seven rounds of ammunition.

“Police has recovered an SMG rifle with seven rounds of ammunition in Kyegegwa District,” police revealed in a statement released on Wednesday January 6, 2020.

According to the statement, several other items were also recovered and the two suspects who were found in possession of the riffle were arrested.

The arrested suspects are Bataringaya Godfrey, aged 36, a resident of Nyabugando Village, Kiyagara Parish, Kamwenge Sub County, Kamwenge District and Katamba Abudul Akim, 48, a resident of Mijunju village, Songi Parish, Kibito Sub County, Bunyangabo District.

“Our teams are carrying out deeper investigations surrounding this criminality. The two will be arraigned in courts of law,” police said.
