The Uganda Lady Cricket Cranes team will hope to revive their campaign when they face hosts Rwanda on Thursday in the ongoing Kwibuka Women’s T20 Tournanent.
Uganda were unlucky to lose by five runs to Tanzania on Wednesday in their opening game inside the Gahanga International Cricket Stadium.
The Cranes’ main batters Damalie Busingye (0 off 2), Proscovia Alako (6 off 8), Rita Musamali (19 off 32), Immaculate Nakisuuyi (10 off 10) and Stephanie Nampiina (13 off 22) struggled as the Tanzanians reigned on day one.

Michael Ndiko asked the team to get over the loss and focus on Rwanda.
“I have asked the girls to express themselves. There is no need for them to fear showcasing their abilities,” Ndiko told the girls.
He added: “Tanzania had no business beating us but they proved to us that we must work hard and smart. We had a good mix of talent. Hopefully the new girls can settle in quickly and play their natural games.”

Tanzania 113/9 in 20 overs beat Uganda 108/9 in 20 overs – Tanzania won by 5 runs
Mali 6 All Out in 9 overs lost to Rwanda 8/0 in 0.4 overs by 10 wickets
