Unknown thugs yesterday broke into Jetset Forex Bureau in Kisoro Municipality along Kisoro -Bunagana Road, leaving with millions of shillings.
The incident, police says, happened on Monday night and that a total of Shs 24 million was stolen.
Charles Okoto the Kisoro District Police Commander says there might have been connivance between the thugs and some staff members at the bureau, since it appeared the thieves used keys to enter, and closed on their way out.
Okoto says police have commenced investigations into the matter and are now hunting for the security guard Robert Turyatunga, attached to Security Plus Uganda Limited who was on duty that night.
“We have already summoned the manger and some workers to help us in the investigations, while we hunt for the security guard that was guarding last night,” Said Okoto.
This is the second time that Jetset Forex bureau has been robbed. In 2016 thugs broke in and stole 20 million shillings.
