Kirya Delighted with Performance Against Kataka FC

Wakiso Giants FC registered their first win in the FUFA Big League this season with a fine display against Kataka FC.

The Purple Sharks outwitted Kataka FC 3-0 in the game played at Bugembe stadium in Jinja district on Thursday.

Head coach Ibrahim Kirya lauded his players for a commanding performance exhibited indicating the commitment was evident right from onset.

” I’m happy that we got our first win more so at home and coming in a place where I was born. I thank the players for the performance today, we showed character, commitment from the start and dominated possession, that helped us to win.” He said.

The former SC Villa coach believes the win brings confidence to the team and will motivate them going into the next games.

” We needed this win to bring confidence to the team. I think this will help us going into the next games.” Kirya added.

Hassan Wasswa Dazo, Feni Ali and Ivan ‘Kaloolo’ Kiweewa scored a goal each to guide the Purple Sharks to victory.

The win against Kataka FC means Wakiso Giants FC move to five points in three games. Their next game will be away to Bukedia Town Council on Thursday next week.
