Kirinya Promise to Clip Vipers

After recording draws in their match-day nine assignments, visit this Vipers and Kirinya meet for the first time on Tuesday at the Nakivubo stadium in Kampala.

Vipers’ hopes of catching up with log leaders KCCA were derailed after Sam Kintu nicked in a late equalizer to earn Proline a point.

They face another tricky and unpredictable side that has held giants KCCA, URA FC, Express and Bul FC in previous games. However experienced Cranes midfielder Hassan Wasswa believes his side has the machinery to finish the job on Tuesday without further slipping.

We are close but need to focus and make sure we avoid unnecessary mistakes that may cost us. We have a great team that I believe is capable of challenging for titles,” Hassan Wasswa told club media.

The visitors are still searching for their first win in the topflight after recording seven draws out of nine outings.

They last held defending champions KCCA FC in a controversial one all draw at Bugembe just days after a similar result against another top giant ExpreGodfrey

“We are going to play an open game and I am sure we are going to win. The boys have now gained enough experience to match the top sides. We’ve played and picked a result from the big guns,” Isabirye told ChimpSport. “Iam sure we shall win this one.”

If fielded for Vipers, Brian Kakaire will be facing his former school and club. This will be his second meeting since staging a man of the match performance for KJT to deny the team a top slot after the 2013-14 big league playoffs finals.

Musa Esenu is back after missing out on Saturday action at Lugogo. The Kitende side will miss the services of Duncan Seninde, William Wadri, Joseph Semujju, Shafik Bakaki and Brian Nkuubi.

Kirinya Jinja will await a late fitness test to determine if Musa Magumba will be played while Godfrey Mubiru returns after fully recovering.
