Uganda Cranes midfielder Khalid Aucho has switched clubs in the Egyptian Premier League, leaving Misr El Makassa for Al Ittihad Alexandria.
Aucho has signed a two-year contract deal with Al Ittihad Alexandria and becomes their first signing for the window ahead of the forthcoming 2020/2021 season.
At Misr El Makassa, the Cranes midfielder has been a main stay in the squad managing to score two goals in 21 appearances and getting Eight bookings for his troubles.
The former East Bengal midfielder joined Misr El Makassa last year from Churchill Brothers in India on a two-year contract.
He has in the past also featured for JMC Hippos, Water FC, Simba on the domestic level. Professionally, he played for Kenyan outfits Tusker and Gor Mahia, Baroka FC (South Africa), Red Star Belgrade and OFK Beograd (both in Serbia) and East Bengal in India.
On the National team, he has made 40 appearances and recently represented in the African Cup of Nations
Aucho was on the Uganda Cranes squad that represented in the 2017 and 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Egypt.
At his new club Ittihad Alexandria, he joins country-mate and forward Emmanuel Arnold Okwi who has so far bagged two goals in his 14 appearances.
