Ugandan midfielder Hashim Sempala has switched clubs in the Kenya Premier League. Sempala made the move on the last day of the Kenyan transfer window with the league still in its transition period.
“Gor Mahia has signed midfielder Hashim Sempala from top league side Tusker FC,” the club announced shortly after sealing the contract.
“The Ugandan midfielder penned a two-year-deal to make him the fifth foreign player at Gor Mahia,” the club added.
Sempala, a former Uganda Under-20 player becomes the third Ugandan to join the Kenyan Premier League champions this season following in the footsteps of former ipers striker Erisa Ssekisambu and Uganda Cranes left back Shafik Batambuze.
He leaves Tusker after two years where he won a league and cup title under Ugandan tactician Paul Nkata in 2016.
He has previously played for Uganda Revenue Authority, Express FC and BUL FC in the Uganda Premier League.
