Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta has met with Buganda King, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.
The meeting was held at State House, where Mutebi paid Kenyatta a visit.
“The Head of State and the visiting cultural leader discussed subjects of mutual interest among them the central role of culture in regional integration and peaceful communal co-existence,” said State House Kenya.
Pictures seen by ChimpReports show Mutebi and Kenyatta wearing face masks during the meeting.
The development comes high on the heels of reports about Mutebi’s alleged poor health.
Buganda Kingdom dismissed the claims, saying the King was fit and healthy.
The Kabaka has for the past few weeks been in Kenya on a holiday that saw him visit the popular Masai Mara national park.
This is not the first time Kabaka is traveling to Kenya for a holiday.
In 2012, the King spent three weeks in the East African holiday for tourism.
