The Kampala City governing body, the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has assigned Daniel Muhumuza Nuwabeine the role of interim spokesperson and head of public and corporate affairs.
This is after Peter Kaujju, who served in the position for 9 years, quit last month to join the electricity distributor UMEME as head of communications.
KCCA announced today that Nuwabeine’s new assignment takes immediate effect.
“We have an interim KCCA spokesperson and head of public and corporate affairs at KCCA, Daniel Muhumuza Nuwabeine. He assumes this role effective today July 7, 2020. Based at the headquarters, Nuwabeine’s key role is to drive and oversee KCCA’s communications policy,” KCCA announced.
Prior to his role, Nuwabeine has been the substantive supervisor for guidelines and public awareness at KCCA for 4 years, a role which he has proudly overseen on community-based awareness and sensitization.
Similarly, UMEME also officially introduced former KCCA spokesperson Peter Kaujju it’s head of communications.
“We take this honor to introduce Peter Kaujju as our head of communications. He comes with a wealth of experience in communication, stakeholder engagement and partnerships. He is passionate about public relations and we are happy to announce him on the team,” UMEME announced.
