13-time Uganda Premier League champions KCCA Football Club has unveiled two more signings ahead of the 2020/2021 season.
The two additions are left back Moses Kalanzi and attacking midfielder Andrew Kawooya brining the total of club’s new signings to Eleven.
Kalanzi who was unveiled on the club’s show on last night on Sanyuka TV, joins KCCA FC following his spells at Jammerbugt, Aalborg and Hjorring in Denmark.
“I thank coach Mike (Mutebi) for giving me this opportunity and am looking forward to working with him because he is the best. I have joined KCCA FC because their style of play fits mine and its one of the best clubs in the region,” Kalanzi said during his unveiling.
He added, “This is the best opportunity for me, I am ready to deliver 100%, I am ready for the challenge and I will lift the team from one step to another as we go out to win trophies.”
He has previously played for Bulenga Academy, Young Eagles Academy, Express Wembley, Super Cubs, Kampala Kids League and Uganda Youth Soccer Academy.
Kalanzi is seen as a replacement for Mustafa Kizza who recently joined Major League Soccer side Montreal Impact.
KCCA FC also unveiled 17-year old St Mary’s SS, Kitende student Andrew Kawooya. He formerly played for Lweza, Proline, and Vipers JT in the FUFA Juniors League.
The youngster was also part of the squad that represented Uganda Under-17 at the 2018 CECAFA and 2019 AFCON tournaments in Tanzania.
The two players join other new signings in Juma Balinya, Dominic Ayella (Promoted), Samson Kigozi, Brian Aheebwa, Bright Anukani, Denis Iguma, Stefano Mazengo Loro, Charles Lwanga and Ashraf Mugume.
