CAF Champions League
Township Rollers FC vs Esperance FC
Al Ahly FC vs KCCA FC
KCCA FC will look to end the group stage of this year’s CAF Champions League on a high note away to Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
With their fate already known, KCCA FC will be playing for Pride and making sure they end the campaign in good spirits.
Mike Mutebi insists, his team will go out to compete rather than just fulfilling to play.
” Being knocked out at this moment doesn’t mean, we shall not play with commitment. We maintain the same focus and commitment like in the rest of the games and we shall try to throw the kitchen sink at them. ” He said.
The gaffer also asserts that their maiden appearance at this stage of the competition has given them lessons and they are proud of the general performance.
” We are a young emerging force. I’m sure, everyone in the group had his eyebrows raised about how we play. I believe we have learnt a lot and that will help us to become better.” Stated Mutebi.
Despite already confirming their place at the quarterfinal stage, Al Ahly will be seeking revenge for the loss in Kampala in May this year where KCCA FC won 2-0.
The last trip to Egypt for KCCA FC ended in disappointments falling to Al Masry in last year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
In the other group game, Esperance visit Township Rollers in Gaborone,Botswana.
The Moroccan outfit lead group A on ten points, one above second placed Al Ahly while KCCA FC and Township Rollers follow in 3rd and 4th with 6 and 3 points respectively.
