All is not well with city businessman Dave Kazoora of Buddies Productions, who recently hitched a deal from Uganda Broadcasting Corporation to revamp two of the corporation’s TV and radio stations.
Kazoora’s Buddies Productions scooped a deal to provide content for Magic FM and Magic HD, which UBC corporation gave him mandate to revamp and turn into money-making ventures and the official launch for the same was held last week.
However, a few days after the launch, work at both stations is reportedly yet to kick off, simply because the people Kazoora thought he would work with seem not to have made up their minds yet.
This is because whereas he had hoped that they would sign contracts under his Buddies Production, the people Kazoora hoped to hire instead want to sign contracts with UBC, claiming that they are not comfortable with Kazoora’s company.
Some of these include ; Captain DMS, Hakeem Saga, Rafsanjan Abbey, Ronnie McVex, Musiimenta, Suubi Douglas, Princess Bagaya, among others, who all want him to rectify the standoff before they fully start working.
However, it is also said that Kazoora is also feuding with a one Mike, his longtime IT manager at Buddies Production who quit due to salary arrears amounting to over 5m and former Magic FM PD designate Timothy Lwanga, whom he allegedly accuses of frustrating his efforts to revamp the radio station.
However, while commenting about his new project this evening, Kazoora said that;
“We are gonna be on air. Just listen in tomorrow. We just had some small technical problems but you will shocked and surprised by the numerous celebrity voices you will be hearing, because we are going to steal many from renowned radio stations.”
He added that “Even me I’m back on radio. Just stay tuned for the best entertainment.”
But Magic FM to date is playing pre-recorded nonstop music without live presentation, while Magic HD just plays movies 24/7 as Kazoora tries to sort up issues with the celebs.
